Department of Defense

Recognizing the importance of signing to healthy development, the US Department of Defense contracted with Baby Signs® for help in implementing the Baby Signs® Program in every child care facility on every military base around the world— including all branches of the military (Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines).

For many years the Baby Signs® Program has provided training, services and products with government agencies, Early Head Start Programs, Parents as Teachers, school districts, child development centers and with youth and family services programs on military bases around the world.

Military Bases Served

Over the years we have seen the benefits of the Baby Signs® Program spread across bases throughout the world. From Camp Pendleton, California to Fort Wainwright, Alaska to Incirlik Airforce Base, Turkey to Naval Base Guam, the Baby Signs® Program is helping to change the lives of military families. In addition, military personnel and their spouses help bring the benefits of the Baby Signs® Program to their community.

Here are just a few of the military bases using the Baby Signs® Program:

Department of Defense Highlights Baby Signs® Program
We’ve known for years that the DoD loves the Baby Signs® Program. Thanks to the cover story March/April 2011 issue of Exchange Magazine describing the programs the DoD provides for families, the rest of the early childhood education community now knows it as well! Exchange is the official magazine of NAEYC and is also distributed to all Head Start members and representatives.
This endorsement of the Baby Signs® Program by the DoD is wonderful validation of our company’s long-running efforts to support military families.. It means a great deal to us to know that the DoD holds our program in such high esteem because everyone associated with the Baby Signs® Program is keenly aware of the debt of gratitude we owe to the dedicated men and women who serve our country and the sacrifice made by the families they leave behind.
