Baby Signs® On The Grow!™ classes cover topics and ages well beyond the focus of our traditional signing agenda. On the Grow!™ offers fun and exciting classes for parents and children (from birth to age 5) to enjoy together.

These short, 45-minute classes include parenting topics from Dr. Acredolo and Goodwyns’ two other best-selling parenting books, Baby Hearts and Baby Minds. These interactive classes are based around fun, child-friendly themes while incorporating wonderful child development topics such as self-control and cooperation.

Birth to 6 Months

Baby Mind Time

Discover your baby’s hidden talents! Learn surprising things your baby can already do and how you can foster these early abilities. This interactive parent and baby class will introduce you to insights from Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn’s best-selling book, Baby Minds, all in the context of fun songs and activities. Ideal for babies 2 to 6 months.

Look at Me, Look at You™

Did you know that vision is, in part, a learned behavior that benefits from practice? This ability is not the automatic ability that most of us always assume. This class is designed to introduce parents and babies to fun activities which promote healthy vision development.

Rumble Tumble Tummy Time™

Come learn how to make tummy time fun for your baby through engaging songs and activities in a play- class setting. At the same time, valuable parenting strategies will be provided to help you make the most of this important stage of development. Available as a single class or series of four. Ideal for babies 2 to 6 months.

3, 2, 1 Count on Fun

Children and parents will enjoy a 45 minute class filled with games, stories, dancing, and activities based around the theme of numbers! Come and discover how much fun you can have with numbers and counting! This is a class you can really “count” on! This class is designed for children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old

A B C Sign With Me!™

This class promotes skills fundamental to learning to read by introducing parents and children to the ASL signs for the alphabet through fun songs, games, and crafts. By providing children with a physical way to represent letters, parents will be helping their children remember the letter names, be able to identify the letters visually, and understand the function of letters to represent the separate sounds within words. Ideal for ages 3-6

It’s Potty Time!

This class provides a fun way to introduce the concept of potty training with an entertaining and interactive class. Children will learn potty time signs, sing songs and hear stories about using the potty. Ideal for ages: 1 to 4 years

Good manners do more than impress people. They also express gratitude and promote positive interactions. Help your child learn important social skills while learning simple signs for favorite foods. Come learn about Manners, Mealtime, and More in this one-time class! The children will enjoy songs, games, and crafts while exploring the topic of manners. This class is designed for children ages 1½ to 5 years old

It is time to wiggle, dance, twist and turn! Parents and children will enjoy moving and grooving in this class designed to introduce movement activities through fun games and songs! Parents will discover how music promotes language, cognitive, social and physical development while children learn how much fun it is to Move & Groove! This class is designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years old

My Favorite Signs

This fun, interactive parent & child play class teaches some of our "favorite" signs. Fun songs, stories and activities highlight important developmental skills. Parents will discover how signing with books helps foster early literacy skills and a lifelong love of books. Ideal for ages 6 to 24 months

My Outside Adventure

Designed to help children appreciate the magic all around them when they venture outside, this class makes learning fun through songs, activities, signs, and simple craft projects. A child’s world is full of colors! Join us for this 45-minute class which teaches fun activities and games to help children explore the colors in the world around them. Learn ASL color signs and how colors help children begin to understand the intellectual skill called “classification.” Ideal for ages 18 months to 4 years

Under the Sea

Learn simple signs for animals under the sea through fun songs, games and activities. This class also provides tips and strategies from Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn to help you teach your child self-control. Come have a “whale” of a good time! Ideal for ages 2-5 years old.

The Babysitter Basics class is designed to give babysitters and nannies simple signs, fun activities and more. The class is geared toward babysitters/childcare providers 11 years and up. Participants will learn signs that will be helpful to them when babysitting and will be introduced to how the use of signs supports the development of children. Ideal for Babysitters and Nannies.  This class is designed for Baby Sitters and Nannies.

Infant Development Workshop

Are you looking for a dynamic workshop for infant teachers and early intervention professionals? The Infant Development Workshop is designed to provide teachers with concrete activities to use with babies in their care and the developmental basis for each activity. Teachers will explore vision, physical, cognitive, and communication development in babies.

My Baby and Me

Parents often worry about how to help their child adjust to the idea and reality of a new baby in the home. This class is designed to give children fun, developmentally appropriate activities that they can do with the new baby at home. During the class, children will play games, sing songs, learn new signs, read a story, and make a special craft. In addition, parents will receive simple tips to help them promote positive sibling relations when they return home. This class is designed for older siblings (ages 2 to 5 years old) and babies (expected to 6 months).
